Physical Audio has released version 1.1.6 of PA1 Dynamic Plate Reverb and the PA3 Derailer physical modelling synth, two plugins based on pure numerical modelling.
PA3 Derailer is a modular network system built from metal bars and spring connections, using finite-difference time-domain numerical modelling. With 37 strike bars, 5 resonators and up to 81 connections, you can construct new nonlinear instruments.
PA1 is a reverb plug-in that uses a physical model of a plate based on modal synthesis. The dynamic control of physical parameters and frequency dependent decay gives unique and creative reverberation.
Dynamic Plate Reverb and Derailer are available for Mac (AU) priced at £159 GBP and £79 GBP, respectively.
