Plughugger has released an Omnisphere 2 soundset based entirely on the Altoids Minisynth, a pocket-size Arduino-compatible synthesizer with only two knobs is housed in an Altoids mints candy tin box.
The sound design goal with the Mints soundset was to create a smaller library focusing on a specific part of Omnisphere, in this case the Altoids Synthesizer, and bring out the synthetic character from the source material.
Mints contains 100 sounds in the following categories:
- 21 Arpeggios and Sequences.
- 33 Pads and Strings.
- 15 Bass sounds.
- 26 Synth Sounds (Poly, Short and Mono).
- 5 Textures and Soundscapes.
