Marco Krueger has announced an update to the intuitive remote companion app for Bitwig Studio. Version 1.5 of R-KONTROL comes with various new features and improvements.

The app now features auto discovery (aka zeroconf or Bonjour). Besides manual configuration of IP connection, the app now allow you to search for Bitwig automatically, making it easier to connect.

The ClipLauncher has been revised and additional actions are now available, including Quantise, Transpose, and setting the Clip Length. For better readability, the font color of the ClipLauncher (light/dark) now corresponds to the color of the ClipLauncher. On iPad, you can now display the Remote Controls and Sends together with either the Mixer or the ClipLauncher on a single screen.

Various actions have been added, including Reset Peak Levels, show/hide (and select) the AB Crossfader, Restore Automation Control, and show/hide inactive tracks. All groove-relevant actions are now also controllable via R-KONTROL. Cue markers now fit better in the mixer layout-wise, and actions such as jump-to-previous/next and deleting cue markers have been added.

The full list of changes is available from the R-KONTROL page at the App Store. R-KONTROL for iOS is available to purchase for $7.99 USD.
