Rough Draft Audio has released Linear Phasor, a free phaser VST effect plug-in.
From the Rough Draft Audio Labs:
Specially developed algorithms calculate the changing features a cascaded allpass network, as the LFO sweeps the selected frequency range, guaranteeing a perfectly flat response with none of the unfortunate sound-colouring associated with analogue technology.
Features
- a 2-36 stage allpass filter cascade
- a user-definable frequency range for sweeping (LFO is free running/unsyncable)
- a bypass control for A/B comparison
- a unique ‘PhasoMeter’ to ensure that the input and output signals in perfect phase with each other. Any inconsistencies are highlighted in red
Note: this plug-in is in the labs section because it’s not done yet. It doesn’t seem to do anything on FL Studio, so watch the labs page for an update (or did anyone say April Fools’ Day?)
