SampleScience has announced the release of Marimba Renaissance, a free virtual instrument that is based on a damaged marimba recording that has been restored.
A combination of audio engineering techniques has been used to make these marimba samples great: spectral repair, adaptative noise removal, manual retuning, and physical modeling. The result is a versatile instrument, rich in tone and easy to use.
Marimba Renaissance for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3/AU) includes 2 marimba sounds (standard and space), multi-LFO, room reverb, lowpass/highpass filter, amplitude range controls and 3 voice modes (polyphonic, monophonic, and legato).
The instrument is available as a Decent Sampler/Kontakt library as well.
