Plughugger has announced the release of a brand new collection of sounds for the Mellotron V virtual instrument by Arturia.
Sickly Tapes is based on samples from the Access Virus TI synthesizer.
The concept behind “Sickly Tapes” was to combine modern sounds with the sound and feel of old technology, and just with the sounds of the original Mellotron, these sounds are full with imperfections, tape flutter, noise and character.
The soundset have its largest focus on pads and leads, but it also includes bass sounds and a handful of simple drum kits.
Sickly Tapes contains 102 sounds:
- 12 Bass sounds.
- 8 Simple Drum Kits.
- 27 Synth and Leads.
- 55 Pads and Synth String sounds.
