Signum Audio has introduced a brand new clipper effect plugin featuring a proprietary real-time anti-aliasing algorithm which the company claims “drastically reduces the amount of aliasing artefacts produced by clipping”.

SKYE Clipper lets you choose between different clipping styles to help control peaks, add loudness to your mix, or to add saturation to your audio. This means it can be used in a variety of scenarios like taming a snare, bus processing, or to add texture to a synthesiser. It includes 7 different clipping types, with a sleek, feature rich and yet simple user interface for streamlining user workflow.

SKYE Clipper has a moveable control panel where you can control its Pre-gain, Threshold, Clipping Type, Gain Link, Post-Gain and Dry-Wet Mix. All parameters are fully automatable in your DAW and all controls can be fine tuned by holding the shift modifier while dragging.

SKYE Clipper for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX) is available in Stereo and Surround versions at an introductory 20% discount, priced £39.20 GBP and £55.20 GBP respectively until November 24th, 2022 (regular £49 GBP / £69 GBP). The Surround version includes support for up to 7.1.4 channel configurations, including Dolby Atmos, for spatial mixing.

A free 30-day trial of SKYE Clipper is available to try the plugin.
