Spitfire Audio has announced the latest installment in the LABS series of free virtual instruments. LA Atmos features a collection of sounds that were recorded on the streets of Los Angeles by Alejandro Cohen and the team of the dublab radio station.
Recorded on the streets of Los Angeles by the team behind non-profit LA radio station, dublab, these unique textures capture the beating heart of the city.
LA Atmos features a range of field recordings, inspired by the techniques of musique concrète — from crickets and crowds, to sirens and helicopters — warped and manipulated to create both melodic and percussive soundscapes, with a range of in-built controls.
The instrument library is free to download for the Spitfire Audio App, which is also free.
