Sub51 has announced the release of a new sound library for the Iris 2 sample-based synthesizer by iZotope.
The Magnesium library comprises 50 meticulously crafted samples/presets based upon original recorded and processed material.
This library is made up of both eerie textures and one-shot percussive sound/effects derived from obsolete machinery and tools….Most beyond recognition.
The path leads trodden continues to be explored with the new sonic territory, as these samples can be used as they come or they can be manipulated using iris’s unique spectral filtering tools to isolate specific elements to forge further new sounds.
This library will appeal to anyone composing in the Ethereal, Ambient, Chill, Electronica or Cinematic FX Genres but its eclectic nature means that it has applications covering a much wider base.
