Rob Papen has announced the release of SubBoomBass 2, a new version of the bass synthesizer for Windows and Mac.
The updated synth comes with a GUI makeover, an expanded sound palette with new spectrum waveforms, new creative ‘think out of the box’ high quality samples and Karplus-Strong string synthesis.
The plugin now also features a X/Y screen, new pattern mode for running 4 sequences, and an easy to use Bank Manager with rating.
While retaining its modelled analogue waveform-driven warmth SubBoomBass 2 now includes a reworked GUI, supplemental spectrum waveforms, as well as Karplus-Strong string synthesis, a method of physical modelling synthesis that loops a short waveform through a filtered delay line to simulate the sound of a hammered or plucked string or some types of percussion.
The new GUI features an X/Y screen (which will already be familiar to owners of the company’s BLUE-II and RAW soft synths), access an all-new Sequencer (capable of running four patterns); plus an easy-to-use Bank Manager (with ‘star’ feature for speedily searching for favourites — whether user- created or one of the professionally-programmed presets.
SubBoomBass 2 is designed to allow anyone to creatively complement contemporary music — whether working on video game or film scores, or anything in between and beyond.
SubBoomBass 2 (VST/AU/AAX) is available for 99 EUR/USD. Owners of SubBoomBass are eligible to upgrade to SubBoomBass 2 for 39 EUR/USD. The synth is also included in the eXplorer4 bundle.
