Synapse Audio has announced the release of The Legend, a new analog-modeling synthesizer instrument for Windows and Mac.
The Legend aims to faithfully emulate the Minimoog Model D, as well as offer additional features such as unison and polyphonic modes.
Developed in cooperation with vintage synth specialist Bigtone Studios, The Legend is designed to faithfully emulate one of the most famous vintage analog synths. Every component, whether it is the oscillators, filter or amplifier, has been modeled to accuracy. Even the most marginal effects like temperature drift or sound influences originating from the power supply have been taken into account.
The Legend is far more than an emulation, however, with numerous enhancements increasing its versatility. Important additions comprise the Unison and Polyphonic modes, allowing the user to create thick stereo sounds, as well as enabling polyphonic play. The extra voices are synthesized using as little CPU as possible, designed to make The Legend a highly efficient analog-modeling plug-in.
The Legend features
- Accurate Analog Modeling with 8x Oversampling.
- Two revisions modeled.
- Mono/Legato, Unison and Four-Voice modes.
- 3 Oscillators plus Noise (Pink, White).
- Low-Pass filter with Drive, 12 dB and 24 dB slopes.
- Delay and Reverb effects.
- More than 400 patches included.
The Legend for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available for purchase for $99 USD. The Rack Extension version can be purchased in the Propellerhead store.
A free trial is available for both editions, which runs for 30 days.
