TBProAudio has released an update to its wideband stereo compressor including side-chaining, various prefilter options and state-of-the-art over sampling. Version 3.3 of Impress3 adds compressor attack delay, saturation and measurement display.
The goal of the design was to cover a broad range of compression applications in today’s mixing and mastering situations with strong focus on low aliasing. So, Impress could be used to shape subtle a snare sound, glue different tracks on instrument bus and even do complex tasks like deessing or voice over’s.

- Compressor attack delay.

- Custom compressor attack/release time shapes.
- Swap order of limiter/clip.
- LA Budget ‘free’ mode, direct adjustment of compressor pre-delay.
- Loudness match, match to peak level.
- Measurement display showing Integrated Loudness, Short Term Loudness, Momentary Loudness and LRA (EBU R128) and peak level.
- Alternative GUI layouts.
The update is free for all current Impress3 customers. New customers can purchase a license of Impress3 (VST/VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP) for 39 EUR (ex. VAT where applicable).
