A side project from Pierre Parenteau of SampleScience, The Sample Pack Maker has recently launched with a collection of 5 free sample packs.
The idea behind this projects is to have an area to freely create fun sample packs without thinking about marketing and business.
It’s an area of free expression for sound design projects that wouldn’t otherwise see the light of day.
The following sample packs are currently available:
- Analog Percussion Wolf collection of 14 drum kits sampled from an Akai Rhythm Wolf drum machine.
- Analog Cat Drums collection of 8 drum kits sampled from an Akai Tom Cat drum machine.
- Vinyl Crackles Collection of 80 vinyl crackles samples created using a Technics turntable from the 80s and a high-end soundcard.
- VHS Noise Collection of VHS background noises, 26 of them in total.
- Speak and Read sample collection of all the letters from a Speak and Read toy from Texas Instruments.
The packs are royalty free and available as a “pay what you like” download, including free.
