Tonsturm has announced the release a new audio plugin that allows real-time sound control to move audio through three-dimensional space with your mouse movements.

The integrated ‘creative motion engine’ of SpinTracer provides a dynamic layer for manipulating these sources into geometric patterns or random, swarm-like textures.

Explore the capabilities of SpinTracer’s state-of-the-art physics engine that enables precise control over sound movement in a defined three-dimensional space. Users can set exact dimensions for the sound’s motion, define its maximum speed, and adjust its trajectory with gravitational steering force.

SpinTracer achieves an unprecedented level of fidelity in real-time Doppler effect simulation. The sound object’s movement is not just an approximation but a true-to-life representation of Doppler shifts, realized in real-time.

SpinTracer features

  • Physics Engine: Provides precise control over sound movement, including dimensions, maximum speed, and gravitational steering force. The engine delivers a realistic approximation of Doppler shifts.
  • Motion Engine: Enables creation of both structured circular motion patterns and organic, random swarm-like effects for dynamic soundscapes.
  • Up to 8 Audio Orbs: SpinTracer can control up to eight sound objects that can encircle or swarm around the listener. Incoming stereo signals are distributed across these orbs.
  • Reflections and Binaural Panning: The plugin features floor reflections and binaural panning, adapted from DopplerPRO technology, for enhanced spatial audio realism and accurate positioning.

Available in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats, SpinTracer is on sale for the intro price of $89 USD until May 14th, 2024 (regular $129 USD).
