Voxengo has released an updated to its VariSaturator audio effect plugin designed to apply saturation and overdrive effects to audio material.
It can be used both to boost the loudness of the audio tracks, and to apply subtle or strong harmonic coloration. VariSaturator features two saturation modules which are applied in sequence, in two-band mode each, and implements a wet/dry mix parameter thus offering a comprehensive control over saturation characteristic.
Version 1.12 includes the following changes:
- Added ProTools 12+ AAX-64 support.
- Added Retina support on macOS, and automatic high-resolution UI size adjustment on Windows.
- 10% lower CPU usage on AVX2-capable processors (in 64-bit mode).
The CRTIV Chorus stereo chorus effect plugin was updated as well.
CRTIV Chorus is a stereo chorus effect AAX, AudioUnit and VST plugin for professional sound and music production applications. Chorus is able to produce stereo-widening and weird modulation effects, possibly with a flanger vibe.
Chorus plugin uses 4 operators for each channel thus creating a quite dense stereo chorus sound, which is very smooth.
Changes in version 1.1 of the plugin include:
- Fixed a rare crash problem when the “Freq” parameter is changed.
- Redesigned user interface knobs.
- Added Retina support on macOS, and automatic high-resolution UI size adjustment on Windows.
- 30% lower CPU usage on AVX2-capable processors (in 64-bit mode).
The plugins are available from Voxengo and its distributor Plugin Boutique, where you can also get 30% off selected Voxengo plugins through March.
