Waldorf Music has announced the release of an update to its Largo software synthesizer instrument.
Largo 2 comes with a redesigned scalable user interface for use on modern 5K or FHD laptop monitors, alongside new formant filters.
Largo 2 features 3 fat oscillators per voice (two of them with sub oscillators) with classic waveforms and 68 Wavetables taken from the legendary Microwave and Wave synthesizer and also the Q and Blofeld – 2 independent multimode filters – up to 4 layers per sound and 4 stereo outputs.
Waldorf Music added a variety of three formant filter types which mimic the frequency response of the human vocal tract. By using the cutoff parameter the user can morph between the vowels a-e-i-o-u for all favourite choir and voice-like modulations.
Available for Windows and Mac (Apple Silicon & Intel), Largo 2 comes in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats. It is on sale for the intro price of 99 EUR until November 30th, 2023 (regular 149 EUR). Owners of the original Largo can upgrade for 29.99 EUR during the introduction promotion.
New users can also purchase Largo 1 for only $29.99 USD at Audio Plugin Deals and take advantage of the upgrade offer at the Waldorf store.
