Wrongtools has announced its upcoming Kontakt instrument library featuring the sounds of a deep-sampled dulcitone keyboard instrument, performed with sensibility, softness and a variation of different hammers.

Dulcitone sounds like a celesta, but with a sweeter, quieter and rounder tone. The sound comes from tuning forks, which vibrate when struck by felt-covered hammers. We utilized a variation of different hammers.

The instrument was overhauled by a professional piano restorer. Mechanics and pedal, squeaks and keysounds were captured and mapped to individual tracks.

Dulcitone Pro features

  • Key sounds, mechanics and quirks on separate faders.
  • Lots of instruments and unlimited sculptering.
  • High-end microphones (Neumann, Coles).
  • Recorded in a dry scoring stage for mixing flexibility.
  • Articulation felt / hammer switcher by ks or cc.
  • Adjustable custom ir reverbs.
  • 1500 samples.
  • 44 instrument patches plus 24 variations.
  • 3.2 GB in size.

Available for the full version of Kontakt 6.4.2 or higher, Dulcitone Pro can be pre-ordered for 29 EUR until September 15th, 2022 (regular 39 EUR).
