xoxos has released repling, a free Karplus-Strong plucked string VSTi plug-in.
repling uses waveguides to position pluck, pickup, and finger position. The length of the string can be set, the played note is finger position, and ‘f.pos’ parameter is force at position. With less than maximum force you can play ‘touch harmonics’ on the string, eg. 20% force is applied to the string.
repling has a 2 octave range (3/4 total string length) so pickup and plucking position ranges are the first 25% of string length.
