BeepStreet releases Sunrizer subtractive synth for Mac

Related: , , Posted in news on Mar 04, 2015 - comment 0 comments

BeepStreet has released a Mac AU version of Sunrizer, the subtractive synth that first debuted on iPad.

BeepStreet Sunrizer

Sunrizer is built upon a familiar subtractive synth design – but with a distinct character and a host of unique features. It starts with two oscillators and two sub-oscillators that deliver all of the basic waveforms and a perfect emulation of JP-8000 “supersaw”, with pulse width, frequency and ring modulation plus a lush unison mode.

The oscillators are fed into two powerful filters with serial or parallel routing, offering traditional low-, high- and band-pass modes as well as comb, resonator, waveshaper, and frequency shifter algorithms – and more. To set all this in motion, Sunrizer has two ADSR envelopes and two LFO generators that can modulate virtually any parameter.

Sunrizer features

  • Bespoke synth engine with 24 voice polyphony and very low processor load.
  • Two oscillators with multiple waveform types, hard-sync, pulse width modulation.
  • Oscillator mixer with ring modulator and separate noise source.
  • Per-oscillator unison function with variable detune and spread.
  • Two separate filter units with serial or parallel operation and 16 different algorithms each: low-, high- and band-pass, notch, comb, formant I/II, all-pass, power low- and band-pass, waveshaper, resonator, resampler, low-pass + resampler, frequency shifter, analog low-pass.
  • Two ADSR envelope generators.
  • Two LFO generators with sine, triangle, saw, square, sample & hold and random
  • waveforms; variable phase, fade-in time and different trigger modes.
  • Master effects including chorus, phaser, rotor, EQ, delay and reverb.
  • Arpeggiator with deep sequencing capabilities.
  • Chord memory function.
  • A-B parameter morph feature: essentially two synth patches in one.
  • Factory sound bank with over 400 preset patches; full patch compatibility with the iPad version.

Sunrizer for Mac (AU) is available for purchase for the introductory price of $50 USD/45 EUR + VAT in EU (regular $80 USD).

Sunsine Audio releases Impact for Impaktor + Sale on all soundsets

Sunsine Audio has launched Impact, a set of 64 new presets for Impaktor, the acclaimed five star drum app from Beepstreet, developer of the venerable Sunrizer.

This pack makes full use of every aspect of both synthesis engines. Physical Modeling is explored through the “Membrane” and “Resonator” sections, Noise Shaping through the “Noise + Vocoder” section, and Frequency Modulation though the FM synthesizer section. Many of the presets contain a combination of these techniques interacting and combining in various ways, including some “tuned” presets that allow playing discreet pitches in a scale depending on the frequency of the impulse. In this manner some presets allow a melody to be played in the style or spirit of a talking drum or steel drum.

The sounds in this set range from classic “ethnic” sound types such as clay or frame, steel, or talking drums, to more traditional electronic sounding drums, and finally futuristic style percussion and drum sounds which may be defined as industrial, alien, or hybrid instruments.

Impact features

  • 64 Presets (1 .imkit file)
  • Easy installation instructions.
  • Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later.

The soundset is currently on sale for $1.99 USD (regular $2.49 USD).

In addition, Sunsine Audio is having a sale on every Sunsine product from 11/21/2012 until 11/28/2012, and is dropping the price and extending the length on the iOS subscription service, as well as offering a new large bundle pack, both of which are included in the sale.

“We have extended the period of the subscription service from 3 to 4 months and reduced the price of participation, to not only make this offer more attractive but also to make sure we can give everyone a great deal! All current subscribers plans have been extended and are being honored in full” – Fletcher Kaufman, owner and sound designer at Sunsine Audio

BeepStreet Impaktor

BeepStreet has released Impaktor, a drum synthesizer with a vast sonic palette, that turns any surface into a playable percussion instrument.

You just slap your desk like you would a real drum. The real acoustical impulses from the built-in microphone are used as an excitation source for advanced sound modules that simulates behavior of membranes, cymbals, metallophones or strings. This makes Impaktor a highly responsive and expressive instrument.

With semi-modular architecture and several types of synthesis, Impaktor can produce a wide range of tones, from acoustic, like Tabla, Djembe, Marimba, Cymbals, Metal bars to electronic or industrial sounds.

Enjoy the most realistic virtual drumming experience available for mobile devices!

Impaktor features

  • Synthesizer
    • Synthesis: physical modeling, frequency modulation, noise shaping.
    • Semi-modular architecture; 2 modules with configurable routing.
    • 2 modulation sources: velocity and lfo-envelope. Almost every parameter can be modulated.
    • Multimode filter, harmonic exciter and several types of amplifiers.
    • Over 90 presets available, more coming soon.
    • No samples used.
    • Ultra low latency.
  • Recorder
    • 6 tracks audio recorder.
    • True 3d panning.
    • Auto-quantization with configurable time-signature.
    • Reverb and Delay effects.

BeepStreet Sunrizer

BeepStreet has released version 1.1 of Sunrizer, a virtual synthesizer for iPad.

Sunrizer synth (previously known as ‘Horizon synth’) is a virtual analog synthesizer that takes the definition of iOs synthesizer to the next level.

Thanks to carefully designed architecture and heavy usage of coprocessor it blurs the boundaries between iOs and hardware synthesizers. Sunrizer was built to perform and works perfectly with any MIDI keyboard or sequencer. A lot of research has been done in order to achieve unheard warmth and clarity.

Changes in Sunrizer v1.1

  • The application name has been changed due to name conflict with existing VST plugin.
  • Comb filter instability fixed.
  • Biquad filters resonance range is correct now.
  • Support for “Stop all notes” MIDI messages.
  • Other minor bugs fixed.

Sunrizer for iPad is available to purchase for $4.99 USD.
