Kevin Kripper has released version 1.4 of the Spectrum Analyzer S8, a spectrum analyzer for Ableton Live.

Spectrum Analyzer S8 is a multiple-track real time spectrum analyzer. It lets you visualize the spectral content of 8 stereo tracks simultaneously.

You can use it as a frequency overlap detector and actually see which part of the spectrum every single instrument uses. The ideal solution for mixing!

DNR Collaborative has unveiled DesignDesk, a unique system which allows users to build workspaces out of a variety of design, document and development tools, as well as collect, edit and package all of your required files all in one place.

DesignDesk is a complete project repository, design toolkit and collaborative platform for just about anyone. The concept is simple – choose your tools, gather your files, edit and package your project into a neatly organized file system or database.

DesignDesk would be particularly useful to just about any type of multimedia designer who commonly creates and releases commercial products such as icon library designers or soundware developers. Even students and teachers could use it to research and gather information for projects or exams. With the ability for 3rd-party developers to create their own tools, DesignDesk becomes an extendable, flexible design platform and project creation system.

DNR have also launched a new crowdfunding campaign to raise the rest of the funds to get DesignDesk to market, and have decided to run the campaign independently instead of through a crowdfunding website such as Kickstarter, relying solely on the audio and media communities alone. A lot of effort went into preparing the documentation, graphics and other media that you can see on the DNR website, which will present a clear and concise explaination of what DesignDesk is, what is would be good for, and who it would be useful to.

SKYLIFE has announced the release of SampleRobot Single-X for Mac OS X.

With SampleRobot Single-X musicians and sound designers can create professional sample sets and transfer their instruments easily to the digital domain. One can also turn virtual instruments into multi-samples for hardware sample players and workstations.

SampleRobot Single-X offers a lot of sophisticated sampling and auto-loop features from his award-winning brother SampleRobot Pro. Single-X stands for „Single Export Format“ and is appropriate if using mostly one sampler type and therefore only one export format is needed.

These different export format options are available: Wave, Kontakt and Reason, Alchemy, Soundfont 2, Blofeld, HALion, WusikStation, SFZ / Dimension

For precise audio loop editing and advanced auto processing SampleRobot Single-X can be combined with SKYLIFE WaveRobot as an upgrade.

TC Electronic has teamed up with Adobe to integrate its LoudnessRadar in the next versions of Adobe® Premiere® Pro and Adobe Audition® on a license agreement.

In recent years, measuring audio loudness reliably has become mandatory for content creators. TC Electronic collaborates with Adobe to provide new LoudnessRadar.

The LoudnessRadar builds on TC Electronic’s groundbreaking LM6 Radar Loudness Meter and offers a wide range of loudness measuring tools that are key to content creators delivering for broadcast, film and internet. In short, the LoudnessRadar provides an easy-to-read overview of loudness over time. It displays Loudness History on the revolving radar, Momentary Loudness on the outer ring, True-Peak clips, Program Loudness and Loudness Range in a single view.
