Soundiron has announced that its Apocalypse Elements library for Kontakt Player is now NKS-ready with support for Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol and S-Series keyboards.
The update offers intuitive and seamless browsing and control over important instrument parameters. Apocalypse Elements now also makes extensive use of the Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboard’s Light Guide feature, which lets you see keyswitches and active key ranges.
Apocalypse Percussion Elements is a mighty collection of aggressive scoring and concert drums and cymbals for the Native Instruments Kontakt platform. This library is a powerhouse designed for efficient workflow and incredible sound. It’s ideal in even the most demanding professional production environment, with extraordinary detail, acoustic quality and flexibility. It features over 40 different drums and over 100 articulations.
Built from our grand 25GB flagship – the Apocalypse Percussion Ensemble – this Elements version is slimmed down to the put maximum punch into a compact footprint and unbeatable price for everyone. Focusing on a close/stage stereo mic position and standard single-stroke multisampled articulations, it’s designed to be intuitive and easy to play. You’ll find thunderous ensemble and solo bass drums, roaring ensemble and solo toms of all sizes, a massive 8-member snare ensemble and 6 different solo snares ranging from deep 14” wooden bodied snares all the way down to tiny 5” effect snares, ethnic drums of all shapes and sizes, clicks, clacks, hi-hats, stick and mallet rides, crashes, splashes, hybrid China crash, fx cymbals, gongs, Tibetan finger cymbals and much more.
The update is free to all existing owners and it requires Kontakt version 5.5.2 or later.
Soundiron has also launched A.P.E. Micro, a compact starter-edition of the Apocalypse Percussion Ensemble.
This heavy cinematic drum library features a total of 28 hard-hitting ensemble articulations, including 6 concert snare drum sets, 5 large tom sets, 7 bass drum sets, 4 Indian Dhol sets, 3 Turkish Doumbek sets, 1 Irish Bodhrán (frame drum) articulation, one Egyptian Riq and a Greek Daf articulation, so you have access to a broad range of powerful sounds to create with.
Each articulation we performed by an ensemble of each drum type, ranging in size between 3 and 6 players in unison, for a massively epic sound. Each articulation sound set has 4 – 12 dynamic velocity layers and 2 round robin variations per note. We captured these instrument ensembles in the same bright, open hall that we recorded our legendary Olympus Symphonic Choir, Mercury Boy’s Choir, Montclarion Grand Piano, Struck Grand, Tuned Artillery and many other Soundiron libraries. the space and wide large-diaphragm close mic array give these drums a potent and aggressively open sound, with just the right touch of transparent natural reverberation.
