Applied Acoustics Systems has announced the upcoming release of the Abstractions sound bank for the Ultra Analog VA-2 synthesizer and AAS Player plug-ins in collaboration with artist and sound designer Richard Devine.
Abstractions is the second sound bank title by Richard Devine in AAS’ Sound Bank Series following the Microsound Textures title for the Chromaphone creative percussion synthesizer. This collection of 127 signature sounds covers standard analog categories but revisited with Richard Devine’s unique aesthetics. These finely crafted sounds range from super precise percussion hits to rich and intricate ambient textures and are sure to provide many hours of exploration in evocative soundscapes.
“We worked with Richard on Ultra Analog VA-2’s factory sounds at the time of the release last Fall; We enjoyed the sounds so much that we asked him for more in the form of a signature sound bank,” says Marc-Pierre Verge, CEO of Applied Acoustics Systems, “The result is a collection of exclusive sounds that once again showcase beautifully Richard’s style and mastery of sound design.”
The Abstractions sound bank will be available in the first quarter of 2014 for $39 USD. The instant download delivery package will include both an Ultra Analog VA-2 bank file as well as the free AAS Player plug-in for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX).
