Plughugger has announced the releases of The Little Fat Greek, a new soundset for the Omnisphere 2 instrument by Spectrasonics.
The Little Fat Greek is the second soundset in a our new series of soundsets for Omnisphere 2, where our concept is simple to focus on one cool synthesizer, sample its sound and recreate its characteristics in Omnisphere, and also take it into new directions that would never be possible with the original hardware.
This time we set our focus on the Greek synthmaker Dreadbox, and their characteristic synth Erebus. The Erebus can best be described as a monophonic analog synthesizer, with a gorgeous filter and a quirky character.
We sampled over 40 aspects of the Erebus and sent them into Omnisphere, where we turned them into sounds that could never be done with the original, such as polyphonic synths, pads, sequences – even drums. Apart from 170+ single presets, we combined another 50 sounds into complex multisounds.
