Samples From Mars has announced that its DX From Mars drum sample library is available as a free download for a limited time.
It’s been a year since we released our first Kontakt GUI , the DX From Mars. To celebrate, we’re giving it away completely FREE for the next month (expires Sep 1st, 2016). You also get the Ableton, Logic, Maschine and WAV samples, so there’s something for everyone.
I really love this instrument – It’s such a classic, punchy and amazing sound. And the Kontakt sequencer is really, really fun. (You will need the full version of Kontakt 5 though).
The DX was a drum machine produced by Oberheim in 1983, and features a huge, warm sound similar to the Linndrum. Its thick, punchy and old skool goodness that sits well in any mix.
DX From Mars is a free download until September 1st, 2016 (regular $39 USD).
