Excite Audio has released a new audio effect plugin that aims to bring recordings to life with the warmth and charm of analog audio processing.
While Lifeline Expanse simulates the space and characteristics of real recording environments and re-amping methods, the Lifeline Console creative modular channel strip focuses on mixing in a control room, offering you the sound of sought-after hardware and analog formats all within your DAW.
The plugin features 5 rearrangeable effects modules with an interactive display that bring a particular vintage flavor to your signal chain.
The Pre-amp warms and enhances the signal with a customisable frequency response; the EQ offers characterful spectral shaping with a choice of analogue circuitry; the Compressor makes quick work of dynamics duties and contains an innovative Auto Makeup control; the Modulation panel imparts the movement and life of warped records and tape speed variations; and the Wear module adds the charm and imperfections of old-school playback, introducing the noise, artefacts and unpredictable nature of tape, vinyl and cassette.
Whether you’re adding gentle sheen and signal enhancement, degrading a sound into a nostalgic, lo-fi production, or anything in between, there’s a module combination for whatever you need.
Lifeline Console comes with 15 unique algorithms, Left/Right or Mid/Side processing for stereo control, Vintage and Modern mixing desk styles, and 300 presets to get you started.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU, AAX and standalone), Lifeline Console is on sale at introductory discounts:

- Lifeline Console Lite (reduced functionality): $29 USD instead of $49 USD.
