IK Multimedia has announced it has added 3D mic positioning and other Cab Room features for AmpliTube Custom Shop, the free version of their AmpliTube guitar amp and effects modelling software.
Previously only available for AmpliTube 4 users, these premium features are now available at no extra cost to all users.
AmpliTube delivers a hyper-realistic, full guitar rig experience, and an important part of that experience is found in the Cab Room features. AmpliTube Custom Shop users can now enjoy the unparalleled level of customization, virtualization and flexibility found in the five distinct Cab Room customization sections: Cabinet selection and size adjustment; individual speaker selection; mic selection and placement; room selection; and a mixer section. Each provides mix and match options and fine-tuning controls for a truly immersive reality that goes beyond the physical world.
Users now have the ability to shape their guitar tone in amazing new ways: craft signature cabinet/speaker combinations in an instant, freely move microphones around the speakers in three dimensions, even change the room itself to alter the sound. To access the new features in AmpliTube Custom Shop, existing users can download AmpliTube version 4.4 from their IK user area now.
