Splice has launched some more titles in the Splice Originals series of recording sessions and sample collections from acclaimed musicians with unique perspectives.
Impulsive: SLMN features 328 loops and one shots and 19 presets for the Astra synthesizer by SLMN.
Vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, SLMN (sol-o-mon) built upon his Late Bloomer pack, taking a lighter, airier approach to rnb and hip hop. Influenced by Kehlani, Russ, Sampha, Coldplay, and PartyNextDoor, he crafted this pack using a Juno 60, Jupiter 8, Yamaha CS-80, Gibson SG Guitar, and a blanketed upright piano.
Helado – Caribbean Rhythm delivers 230 loops and one shot samples by producer Erick Bardales.
Helado is the Spanish word for ice cream, the perfect cool-down treat for hot summer days that dissolve into crisper nights. Producer Erick Bardales channeled that energy into Splice Originals: Helado – Caribbean Rhythm. Recorded in the Splice room of Sound Factory LA, this pack explores the darker, moodier edges of Caribbean music while maintaining the energetic integrity of dancehall and Afrobeat rhythms.
The Cosmic Sounds of John Medeski contains no less than 340 signature sounds from John Medeski.
The Splice Originals team met up with the legendary John Medeski in Woodstock, NY at the iconic Applehead Recording studio. He took us on a sonic journey through the cosmos, using his collection of pedals to manipulate his signature sounds created with a Hammond B3, Clavinet D6, Wurlitzer 200A, Korg Delta, Arp Omni, Moog Taurus, Moog Sub37, Rhodes, and Yamaha Grand Piano.
The sample packs and all individual sounds are available to Splice subscribers. New users can try Splice for free with a 14-day trial.
