MusicDevelopments has announced an update to Syne, a powerful and flexible modular additive synthesizer instrument for Windows and macOS.
Version 1.2 brings a new FM module and some bug fixes.
Syne is a new, fully modular additive synthesizer capable of rendering more than 20000 partials on a recent CPU (=powerful) while having full control over each partial (=flexible). This allows making complex sounds that are not possible with other types of synthesis.
Changes in Syne v1.2
- FM Module added.
- Offline rendering works well.
- Fix ‘custom’ envelope in ‘time’ mode.
- Fixed: envelope parameters were not recalculated when a note was re-triggered before the previous note has ended.
- Fixed noisy audio when using ‘Detune’ after ‘Duplicate Partials’.
- User guide updated.
Syne is available in VST/VST3 and AU plugin formats and as standalone software, priced $89 USD.
