Plughugger has announced its latest Omnisphere sound library Dreamland, a new collection of sounds that have been created by taking a synthesizer, sampling it and recreating its characteristics in Omnisphere.
Based on the Minibrute 2 synthesizer by Arturia, Dreamland takes this synth into new directions that would never be possible with the original hardware.
The Minibrute 2 is a monophonic analog synthesizer with a built-in sequencer and semi-modular architecture capable of tones from analog mellowness to almost digital sharpness.
With Dreamland, Plughugger sampled a vast selection of its oscillators: from raw waveforms and intervals, to FM, drums and experimental special effect sounds. From these sounds they recreated the sound and feel of the Minibrute 2 in Omnisphere, and pushed it further by creating advanced sequences and added a set of analog effects.
Apart from single presets, Plughugger combined another 50 sounds into complex layered multisounds, from everything to larger bass sounds and layered strings to advanced sequences and song-starters.
Dreamland contains 236 sounds in the following categories:
- 85 Bass/Lead Arpeggios/Sequences.
- 15 Drum / Percussion.
- 7 Effect / Hit sounds.
- 25 Pads / Synth strings.
- 16 Bass sounds.
- 31 Synth sounds.
- 7 Textures and soundscapes.
- 50 Multi sounds.
Additionally, 78 Init sounds for each sound source available in Dreamland are included (many of them are variations of the same sound).
The sound library costs 19.90 EUR. Until February 17th you can save 50% and purchase the collection for only 9.90 EUR. Use coupon code MINIBRUTE2 at checkout to get the discount.
