Plughugger has introduced its latest sound pack featuring a collection of over 150 sounds for the Pigments 3 software synthesizer by Arturia.
Based on the classic Micro Q synthesizer from Waldorf, Microns is a love-letter to the days of old-school digital synthesizers.
The soundset is focused on electronic sounds aimed specifically for digital electronica inspired by music and sounds from the late 90s and early 2000s.
With Microns we put most of the attention to pads, leads and synth sounds. While the majority of the samples were taken from the MicroQ were recorded dry, we also recorded the MQ by pushing its effects to the limit, especially its wonderfully lofi reverb and the rebellious “Five FX” multi effect with overdrive and bitcrusher.

A collection of 150 presets, World of Darkness features otherworldly textures, badly tuned pads, deep analog bass sounds, effects and even some drum and percussion sounds.
World of Darkness is a soundset that is conceptually inspired by the Dune movies and TV series. Rather than replicating the sound design and score, the focus was to create a dark and forceful soundset with majestic qualities. To balance out the harshness we added sounds inspired by the scores from 90s action and thriller movies.
