Synapse Audio has announced an update to Obsession, the vintage synthesizer that emulates the Oberheim OB-Xa.
Version 1.2 adds the patch browser and Genetics function first introduced in Dune 3.5. The Genetics function creates new patches out of existing ones, a very useful tool to obtain sound variations or entirely new sounds.
Furthermore, the factory library has been increased to 500 patches, and new modulation targets added for parts A/B allow for more sophisticated sound design for the Dual and Split modes.
Obsession for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX) is priced $99 USD. The upgrade is free for registered customers, and can be downloaded from the User area page.
