Tom Wolfe has announced the release of Dystopia for Omnisphere, a sound library featuring 100 atmospheric, raw and edgy cinematic style-patches for the Omnisphere 2 virtual instrument by Spectrasonics.
Inspired by classic dystopian sci-fi films such as Blade Runner, while also drawing inspiration from more recent scores such as Tron: Legacy, Blade Runner 2049 and Ex Machina, Dystopia isn’t just another vintage-style sound bank. It’s a bank designed to bridge the gap between retro-futurism and modern cinematic synthesis in a truly unique, Tom Wolfe way.
From sweeping, vintage-style pads and granular, ambient string machines, to gritty, grimey sequences and vast expansive textures, the patches in this set are designed to aid with the creation of anything from minimalist soundscapes to layered cinematic cues with an unmistakable tonal quality.
Dystopia is on sale for the intro price of £11.99 GBP until August 21st, 2019 (regular £19.99 GBP). Requires Omnisphere v2.5.0 or higher.
