Toontrack has announced the release of the Fusion EZbass MIDI pack, a collection of MIDI files inspired by the fusion genre, suitable for pop, rock, jazz, experimental and general fusion compositions.
Created by bass player Laurence Cottle, the pack features bass MIDI in 4/4, 7/8 and 9/16 in straight feel with tempos ranging from 112 BPM to 175 BPM, including intro, verse, pre-chorus and chorus sections.
No doubt – fusion players are the unsung heroes of the bass world. These spirited explorers, who charge up and down their fretboards with military-like precision, not leaving a single fret or string unnoticed, keep pushing the boundaries of what can be done with merely two hands. This EZbass MIDI pack is an homage to the instrument, the legends who handle it and the musical universe in which they operate.
The Fusion EZbass MIDI pack takes all of the defining traits of the bass guitar in this cosmos and dips them in the kettle of styles that serve as the foundation of the fusion genre: jazz, rock, gospel, funk and so much more. Expect busy finger chops, insane runs, complex harmonics and basslines deluxe.
If you’re looking to get some Olympic-style bass acrobatics infused in your songs, you’re in luck. This MIDI is the textbook definition of where the bass is busy but still remains articulately tasteful in every note, bar and beat.
Playing hard just became easy. Let’s add some bass to your songs.
The MIDI pack is available from Toontrack and distributor PluginFox, priced 29 USD/EUR.
