Native Instruments has announced the availability of TRAKTOR PRO 2.5, the latest version of the DJ software which introduces the innovative Remix Decks™, giving access to a powerful loop suite made up of 64 slots, each able to hold loops, one-shot samples or even tracks.

DJs can control up to four Remix Decks™ at once and save their work as an entire Remix Set™. To help DJs get started with the new technology, Native Instruments are giving away a selection of Remix Sets™, many of which were prepared by renowned artists. The free content, which amounts to 1.4 GB in total and covers a diverse selection of genres, is available to all users once they register TRAKTOR PRO 2.5.

Users of any TRAKTOR Generation 2 product will receive a free upgrade to the new 2.5 version. It also comes bundled with any TRAKTOR hardware, including TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 – set to hit stores worldwide on May 30th.

TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 was designed specifically to control the Remix Decks™ and provides full and tactile control over the new feature, benefiting from seamless bi-directional software-hardware integration and offering full visual feedback through the multi-colored LED pads.

Traktor Pro 2.5 is available to purchase for $89 USD/79 EUR. All owners of TRAKTOR PRO 2, TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2, TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 and TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 will receive TRAKTOR PRO 2.5 as a free update.

Maago has released the Maago 4×4 Virtual App, the first product in a new controller family for the Traktor DJ software platform by Native Instruments.

The 4×4 Virtual App has been designed to wirelessly control Native Instruments TRAKTOR PRO or any other application or device that supports the MIDI protocol through a wireless connection directly from your iPad or iPhone.

The App lets you control the four decks of TRAKTOR PRO, the Effects and all the Browsing features of the software.

The 4×4 Virtual App is available to purchase for $16.99 USD (iPad) / $2.99 USD (iPhone/iPod touch).

Maago is also developing the Maago 4×4 hardware unit, a 4-decks USB/MIDI DJ controller.

Native Instruments has announced TRAKTOR REMIXED, a comprehensive revision of the TRAKTOR range to coincide with the imminent arrival of TRAKTOR PRO 2.5.

Due for release on May 30th – the same day as the TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 add-on controller – TRAKTOR PRO 2.5 is the catalyst for many important changes in the TRAKTOR portfolio that aim to simplify the TRAKTOR product range for DJs.

Free updates for TRAKTOR PRO 2 and TRAKTOR DUO 2 users

All users of TRAKTOR PRO 2 and TRAKTOR DUO 2 will receive a free update to the latest PRO 2.5 software as soon as it is available. The updated software version introduces the innovative Remix Decks™, which allow DJs to creatively remix and rearrange tracks before and during their actual performance. As of today, users of TRAKTOR DUO 2 and TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO 2 will receive a free upgrade to TRAKTOR PRO 2.

TRAKTOR PRO 2 software comes free with every TRAKTOR hardware

From today onwards, every TRAKTOR hardware item will automatically come with the latest full TRAKTOR PRO 2 version free of charge, which can then be comfortably updated to PRO 2.5 on its release. This applies to all TRAKTOR audio interfaces, controllers and scratch systems and is especially attractive to new customers. TRAKTOR PRO 2 previously retailed for $229/199 EUR and is now available with the TRAKTOR AUDIO 2 interface, for instance, for just $119/99 EUR.

Special upgrade offer for old TRAKTOR versions

Users still running pre-PRO 2 versions of TRAKTOR software can upgrade to the latest version, thanks to a time-limited offer. Owners of software-only versions (TRAKTOR 1 to 3, TRAKTOR PRO and TRAKTOR DUO), as well as DJs using TRAKTOR SCRATCH, TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO or TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO, can update to the latest version for $44,50/39,50 EUR until April 30th 2012.

Changes to audio interfaces and scratch systems

The audio interfaces TRAKTOR AUDIO 10 and TRAKTOR AUDIO 6 are now exclusively available with their respective digital vinyl systems. TRAKTOR SCRATCH A10 (renamed from TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2), features the 10-channel interface, and is now available at the new price of $559/499 EUR. Similarly, TRAKTOR SCRATCH A6 (previously called TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO 2), contains the 6-channel TRAKTOR AUDIO 6 and can now be purchased for $339/299 EUR.

Native Instruments has announced TRAKTOR KONTROL F1, a pad-based, USB-powered hardware controller built to control the advanced Remix Decks™ in the included TRAKTOR PRO 2.5 software.

TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 provides 16 multi-colored, touch-sensitive LED pads, an advanced global control section as well as an ergonomic mixer section including four volume faders and dedicated filter knobs. Designed specifically for DJing, the KONTROL F1 offers a DJ-centric workflow for launching clips in an intuitive way, allowing users to switch between up to 64 tracks, loops and one-shot samples on each deck.

TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 includes the full version of the TRAKTOR PRO 2.5 software, also available as a free update to all users of the TRAKTOR 2 generation. Version 2.5 introduces the innovative Remix Decks™, giving access to a powerful loop suite made up of 64 slots, each able to hold loops, one-shot samples or even tracks. DJs can control up to four Remix Decks at once and save their work as an entire Remix Set with its respective beat grids, BPM and key information in a new file format that can be comfortably imported into a track deck via TRAKTOR’s browser.

TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 was designed specifically to control the Remix Decks™ and provides full and tactile control over the new feature, benefiting from seamless bi-directional software-hardware integration and offering full visual feedback through the multi-colored LED pads. Advanced parameters such as Punch mode and FX assignment can also be comfortably changed from the KONTROL F1 and four smaller pads at the bottom of the matrix stop or mute a group of samples. Controlling Sync, Quantize, Sample Size, Reverse and other functionality, the comprehensive global section also features a push encoder to switch through the four pages of the 16 pads and offers a ‘Capture’ button, which allows DJs to grab samples from running tracks of each track deck within the TRAKTOR software, both before and during the actual DJ performance.

Each regular track deck within TRAKTOR PRO 2.5 can be switched to a Remix Deck, thus offering dedicated transport, sync and tempo master controls. This allows DJs to control an entire Remix Deck via Native Scratch timecode control with vinyl or CDs, or using the jog wheels of the KONTROL S4 and KONTROL S2 hardware.

TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 was designed to integrate perfectly into any TRAKTOR DJ setup. With the same form-factor as TRAKTOR KONTROL X1, KONTROL F1 fits neatly alongside standard DJ mixers and the all-in-one DJ systems TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 and S2. The TRAKTOR Bag provides reliable protection for the KONTROL F1 during transport, and also doubles as a solid stand, elevating the KONTROL F1 to standard mixer and turntable height.

Dubspot has announced it continues to grow in 2012 with cutting-edge classrooms and new courses.

Over the past few years, Dubspot has grown from a single classroom in New York City’s West Village to a global institute, attracting students from all around the world. This rapid growth has led us to expand our course offering from Dubspot Online and build a whole new floor in our New York facility with four state of the art classrooms.

Each room is acoustically treated and equipped with the latest music technology for music production, sound design, mixing, software – based mastering and electronic music performance. Classes are kept intimate so that each student can work with our instructors to find and sculpt his/her own sound.
