MaxSynths Crisalys

MaxSynths has announced the release of Crisalys, a virtual synthesizer instrument for Windows.

Crisalys is a software synthesizer characterized by a powerful audio engine which can work up to 192Khz. The three oscillators are driven by custom waveforms designed specifically to grant top quality sound in any situation. Each oscillator has built-in FM, Ring Modulator and Cross Modulation options controlled by three separate internal LFOs. The Ring Modulator can achieve sound characteristics that can go beyond the common sonorities of this effect, thanks to an internal custom circuit which has been developed for this purpose.

Crisalys features

  • 3 Oscillators with 18 custom waveforms.
  • Built-in frequency, ring and cross modulation per oscillator.
  • Filter routing option.
  • Tuning and pitch bend options per oscillator.
  • 2 multi filters with 12 different filter modes (including custom designed filters and analog emulations).
  • Built-in modulation options per filter.
  • Modulation section: 4 LFOs, 2 AUX envelopes, 2 step sequencers.
  • Modulation matrix with 5 assignable sources and 16 fixed destinations.
  • FX section: flanger, delay compressor, reverb.
  • Eight powerful 32 notes sequencers able to load up to 64 patterns.
  • Custom audio engine for high quality audio.
  • Includes 256 preset sounds and 64 sequencer patterns designed by MaxSynths, EDT Audio, Scott George, Simon W. Autenrieth and rsmus7.

Crisalys for Windows (VST) is available to purchase at the introductory price of 69.90 EUR until 28 February, 2011 (regular 89.90 EUR). Existing Cryologic users can purchase Crisalys for 59.90 EUR until 28 February, after which the price will go up to 69.90 EUR.

MaxSynths WTS-1

MaxSynths has announced the release of WTS-1, a virtual synthesizer instrument for Windows.

WTS-1 is a small synthesizer developed to provide an easy to understand tool for everyday usage. The simple interface and straight workflow make it the ideal tool for bread and butter bass, lead and pad sounds creation.

Despite its simple aspect WTS-1 can create also interesting sound effects thanks to the built-in LFO. WTS-1 has a special “instability” function which introduce some imperfections into the oscillators audio path to simulate the behaviour of old analog synthesizers.

WTS-1 features

  • 2 Oscillators with 4 custom waveforms (Synth Bass, Synth Reso, Synth Organ, Synth Mega Saw).
  • 1 envelope per oscillator.
  • Level, pan, octave control and filter routing per oscillator.
  • FM control (OSC2 modulate OSC1).
  • 2 independent State Variable filters.
  • LFO routable to 7 different destinations.
  • Built-in delay effect.
  • “Instability” switch to simulate the subtle imperfections of the analog synthesizers oscillators.

WTS-1 is available to purchase for Windows (VST) for 9.90 EUR.

MaxSynths Crisalys

MaxSynth has announced Crisalys, a virtual synthesizer instrument for Windows.

The previous mail announced (with a strange and cryptic video) that something is happening…
I’ve worked very hard on it in the last weeks and unexpectedly the project “road map” is at a very good point: the core elements of the new instrument are finished, and everything seems to proceed very well! So I think it’s time to unveil more details about the new project.

Crisalys features

  • 3 Oscillators with 18 custom waveforms designed specifically for this synth.
  • Built in frequency, ring and cross modulation per oscillator.
  • Filter routing option (OSC to filter 1 or 2).
  • Tuning and pitch bend options per oscillator (different settings for each OSC).
  • 2 multi filters with 8 different filter types including custom designed filter models.
  • Built-in modulation options per filter driven by internal filter LFOs.
  • Modulation section: 4 LFOs (with sync, wave selection, wave invert and the same “quantize” function available on MaxSynths’ LFO Filter), 2 AUX envelopes, 2 step sequencers.
  • Modulation matrix with 5 assignable sources and 16 fixed destinations.
  • FX section: flanger, delay compressor, reverb.
  • Arpegiator with classic arp types (up, down, up+down, etc.) and custom patterns options.
  • Custom audio engine to guarantee high quality audio with a moderate CPU load.
  • Two different skins provided.

Crisalys is scheduled for release between December 2010 and January 2011.

MaxSynths ERA for Gladiator

MaxSynths has announced the release of ERA, a new soundbank for the Gladiator synthesizer by Tone2.

ERA has been conceived as a sound bank for ambient and atmosphere music (but not limited to it!). The sounds, characterized from a dark flavor, are been designed trying to take advantage of the synthesis possibilities offered by Gladiator which, in addition to be an exceptional instrument for the creation of trance and electronic music, showed to be an excellent tool to create atmospheric sounds too, thanks also to the great onboard effects.

ERA includes 82 original patches divided between pads, atmo, keyboards, arps, synths, percussions, and sound effects.

ERA for Gladiator is available to purchase for 14.99 EUR.

MaxSynths has also released a demo version of Cryologic, an easy to use SoundFont player and library.

A DEMO version of Cryologic – previously available only for magazines readers – featuring 16 full quality presets from the full library (142MB of original sounds) has been released.

MaxSynths aPiano for Wusikstation, acoustic piano emulation

MaxSynths aPiano

MaxSynths has released aPiano, a sound library for Wusikstation.

aPiano is an acoustic piano emulation with an “open, big and vibrant sound”. The goal was to create a good piano sound suitable for any style, with a realistic feeling, warm but incisive at the same time and very limited in size (in contraposition with the multi gigabytes piano libraries available on the market today).

A piano without piano samples. On the technical side what makes aPiano something unique is that each single sample in this piano library has been modeled in a dedicated software following mathematical calculations. Every single sound has been generated into a computer (no real piano recordings here!) but with the challenge to make it sound as something real. And according to what people says the goal has been succesfully reached!

If you are looking for a quality piano sound, lightweight, and with a reasonable price then aPiano is for you.

aPiano is currently available to purchase in Wusikstation format for 20 EUR. It will be available soon also in Kontakt3, Soundfont and Sfz format.
