Humanoid Sound Systems updates Enzyme to v1.0.30

Humanoid Sound Systems Enzyme

Humanoid Sound Systems has updated its Enzyme synthesizer instrument for Windows and Mac to version 1.0.30.

Enzyme incorporates all the popular features of our Scanned Synth Pro, but takes its scanning synthesis in several new directions simultaneously. Sample import is now available so you can resynthesise existing sounds with automatic pitch detection and click-free looping, while Hybrid Scanned/FM synthesis is also on offer for even more sonic possibilities.

Changes in Enzyme v1.0.30

  • Improved randomisation (this will blow your mind).
  • Extended core sample library.
  • Added micro-tuning feature (alternative tuning scales).
  • Added license agreements to installers.
  • Changed MIDI learn feature for performance parameters so that it is not saved in preset and persists between sessions.
  • Fixed crash when moving knobs in FX rack.
  • Fixed legato mode so that, when a note is released, it returns to previous note.
  • Fixed display of distortion pregain parameter.
  • Fixed delay sync mode so that it has a max length of 32 beats.
  • Fixed delay sync mode time display so it displays time in beats.
  • Fixed bugs in preset/bank menus.
  • Fixed bug where audio engine could become silent when using Nearest4 connection matrix with high Spring Force setting.
  • Fixed bug in flanger where it could become overloaded, requiring preset to be reloaded.
  • Fixed tracking of most recent not played in modulation system (used when modulating a monophonic parameter with a polyphonic modulator).
  • Fixed stand-alone version on Windows (32-bit only).

Enzyme for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available to purchase for $49.95 USD.

Humanoid Sound Systems updates Enzyme to v1.0.26

Humanoid Sound Systems Enzyme

Humanoid Sound Systems has released version 1.0.26 of Enzyme, the scanned synthesis instrument for Windows and Mac.

Changes in Enzyme v1.0.26

  • Fixed randomisation so that it does not attempt to load non-Enzyme preset files from EnzymeData/Random folder.
  • Fixed bug where import sample names were not updating after a preset was loaded.
  • Fixed bug where older presets were not displaying the correct units for certain parameters.
  • Changed the output of LFO Rate’s display so that it conatins decimal places.
  • Made some changes to Flanger::process() as it is sometimes causing the audio to fail. It is still not working properly though for certain presets. Reverb is also an issue.
  • Fixed bug where holding the Control/Cmd key and left-clicking caused the parameter value to be displayed permanently.
  • Fixed bug where the wrong value was being used for depth values when using a bipolar LFO
  • Added a fix for AHDSR release. When AHDSR was being used as a modulator the release time was always 0 no matter what it was set to.
  • Fixed TextRenderer bug where it wasn’t drawing multi-line text properly.
  • Added a fix so that users can now load “aif” and “aiff” sample files. Needs to be to be tested on Mac.
  • Added a fix for existing presets that were created before the LFO changes (ENZ-209). This should make existing presets sound the same as the originals but will cause the range of some depth parameters to be -3 to 1 instead of -1 to 1. Unfortunately this is unavoidable.
  • Added a fix for modulator headings not being displayed when switching presets.

Enzyme is available to purchase for $49.95 USD.

Humanoid Sound updates Scanned Synth Pro to v2.1.1 (incl. 64-bit) + Xenogenesis & Anamorphic Cinema soundsets

Humanoid Sound Systems has released version 2.1.1 of Scanned Synth Pro, a virtual synthesizer for Windows and Mac.

Humanoid Sound Scanned Synth Pro
Scanned Synth Pro offers you a unique sound with personality and character in spades.

If you don’t want to sound like everybody else then try Scanned Synth Pro – a step beyond the clones.

SSP features a revolutionary Scanned Synthesis engine combining both physical modeling and wavetable synthesis, using a technique developed in the late 1990s by a pioneering team of scientists at Interval Research.

Changes in Scanned Synth Pro v2.1.1

  • Support for 64-bit VST and AU.
  • Included the LimeFlavour One skin.
  • Fixed the issue with serial numbers for users with accented characters in their names under Windows.

Scanned Synth Pro for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available to purchase for $24.99 USD. Existing users can download the update at no charge.

Xenogenesis for Scanned Synth Pro

Humanoid Sound has also released two soundsets: Xenogenesis for Scanned Synth Pro, and Anamorphic Cinema for Alchemy by Camel Audio.

Xenogenesis contains 142 sounds for Scanned Synth Pro, created by Bryan Lee, who was on the sound design team for the 2.0 release. The Xenogenesis soundset boosts main two categories of sound to remedy the fact that the factory set is currently woefully deficient in basses and leads – there are over 40 sounds in each of those categories as well as other sounds. Genres targeted: Ambient, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Glitch, Grime, IDM, Industrial and Trip-Hop

Anamorphic Cinema is a unique hybrid of rawness and sophistication, capturing the internal richness and movement of scanned synthesis.

Anamorphic Cinema for Alchemy

It brings you pads that are rich and analogue in character, or airy and machine-like, plus leads featuring screaming filters, wheezing tubes, struck glass, and bags of retro attitude, and wiry, metallic, filth-laden basses tortured from wire and rust.

Starting life as 121Mb of detailed multi-samples captured from Humanoid Sound Systems’ Scanned Synth Pro, the sounds of Anamorphic Cinema have subsequently been enhanced by Alchemy filters, extensive modulation options, real-time performance controls and extra effects, to produce a library that will work perfectly across a host of genres including electronica and ambient, through to more aggressive styles such as industrial and dubstep.

The Xenogenesis soundset costs $10.99 USD; Anamorphic Cinema is $7.99 USD.

Human Sound Systems Scanned Synth Pro 2

Xenos Soundworks has released Xenogenesis, a collection of 137 brand new sounds for Scanned Synth Pro.

I was on the sound design team for the 2.0 release a few years ago and Xenogenesis attempts to remedy the fact that the factory set is currently woefully deficient in basses and leads, so I have included over 40 sounds in each of those categories. Genres targeted: Ambient, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Glitch, Grime, IDM, and Industrial.

Scanned Synth Pro was originally sold for $99, but is now available for “Pay What You Like”, so anyone looking for a good deal on a plugin that uses scanned synthesis for its sounds might want to have a look here.

This bank ships to you with 2 FXB files and a separate zip file containing all the individual preset files for the Mac users.

Xenogenesis for Scanned Synth Pro is available, priced at “Pay What You Like”.
