Mathew Lane has updated the DrMS spatial processor plugin for Windows and mac to include AAX Native 64-bit support.

DrMS is a unique spatial processor, available as AAX/RTAS/AU/VST plugin, with a wide range of applications for mixing, mastering and post production – going from simple MS (Mid-Side) encoding/decoding, over stereo field width and depth enhancement, to fixing mono compatibility issues and more.

Mathew Lane has released version 4 of the DrMS spatial processor effect.

DrMS spatial processor presents a creative new approach to the manipulation of stereo audio. It is based on MS (Mid-Side) processing, but DrMS splits the stereo signal into four parts rather than the normal two, giving you an unprecedented level of control: Zoom in, add Depth, change Width or any combination and more. DrMS takes you wherever you want to go in the stereo field.

Mathew Lane has released version 3.0 of DrMS, a spatial processor plug-in for Windows and Mac.

DrMS is now a true native VST/AU/RTAS plugin for OSX and Windows that no longer requires the Pluggo Runtime shell. V3 is compatible with all major DAWs supporting VST, AudioUnit or RTAS, including the latest versions of Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Live and ProTools, both on Mac and PC.

It also includes numerous improvements and new features over version 2, such as the newly implemented mastering grade filters, the addition of the Feedback circuit for reverb creation and special effects, the improved GUI with value displays and the inclusion of example preset settings.

Build on a completely new internal algorithm, version 2 of the DrMS spatial processor plugin sounds even better then before. The new engine allows to create wider and deeper soundstages while, of course, maintaining the excellent compatibility DrMS is known for.

Mathew Lane has released version 1.1 of DrMS, a spatial processor plug-in with a new way to approach the manipulation of stereo audio.

Changes in DrMS v1.1

  • Finer low frequency control on the HPF’s.
  • New smart control surface layout for users of a Mackie Control Universal (MCU) or compatible control surface: All parameters have a clear 6-character name and are organised in banks of 8/16 with use of informative ‘dummy’ parameters to complete each bank for easy bank switching and great overview.

It is based on MS (Mid-Side) processing, although DrMS splits the stereo signal into four sections rather than the normal two, giving you new levels of control: zoom in, add depth, change width or any combination and more. DrMS takes you wherever you want to go in the stereo field.

DrMS features

  • 4 main processing sections: MID, SIDE, FOCUS and FIELD.
  • Each section has 3 processing tools: HPF, TiltEQ and Delay.
  • 4 smaller utility sections: INPUT, OUTPUT, BYPASS and OPTION.

DrMS uses the free Pluggo Runtime shell to ensure compatibily with all major DAW software. DrMS is compatible with AU/VST2/RTAS plugin formats on OSX and VST2/RTAS formats on Windows.
